Benny Royston has a long history of working with the Eurovision Song Contest. From covering the event as an editor for the then leading Eurovision Song Contest website he went on to become Head of Press before taking over the website in 2006. Benny Royston managed the website until 2011, when he handed the reins over to Michalis Vranis.

Today, Benny is the Chief Editor of popular Eurovision Song Contest website ESC Buzz provides expert opinion and commentary about the Eurovision Song Contest for many television and radio stations across Europe. In 2011, Benny took on the role of Head of International Marketing for the Azerbaijan entry, Running Scared. The song secured a runaway victory as Azerbaijan’s first and only Eurovision Song Contest success to date.

During his time at, Benny interviewed more than 120 Eurovision Song Contest entrants and had more than 12 million youtube video views with the website’s original channel.
